VIDEO: Should BP nuke its Gulf oil well?

| May 29, 2010

BP's "top kill" failed Saturday. Maybe the company should think about going nuclear, like the Soviets did decades ago to tame an out-of-control gas well.

Conventional plastic explosives would work just fine for pinching the gushing pipe below the leaky annulus joint 300' below the seabed... drill down and intersect the bad-petroleum pipe 1000' using a subsea core-drill similar to the one developed at UoW-oceanography in 1979.. blast-pinch the pipe with 20lbs of C4 ... dunderheads, the bigger they are the harder they fall !!

Try this in the basement at BP corporate headquarters first...
...this reminds me of Dr. Edward Tellers attempt to use nukes for building deepwater harbors along the Alaskan Arctic Coast. Does anybody have a clue about what would happen if a nuke was detonated over Pt.Thomsen ??? -- you could anticipate the villain would be living in the jungles of Paraguay, because it would likely cause an extinction of all life in the northern hemisphere.
